Gdiplus.dll conflicting with PMDG 737

Featured Replies

Hi everyone. Sigh!! How should i start. Recently, i've been flying the PMDG 737 perfectly without any errors and now i am now (dont know why). It started where i do any normal flight for e.g YYZ-BGI and land and when i try to do the return trip i get this damn GDI+ thing. The thing is it ONLY happens when I go into the fs9 menu to change the aircraft flight number for the return leg. I also get this error too, not at the time with gdi+ but when i exit fs9 (just thought you all should know that) [ The instruction at "0x04a7632e" references memory at "0x20d13930"]. The memory cannot be "read". ##### is that!?! and fs2004 freeze then crashes like hell. I monitored this with several flights, some different countries and it keeps reoccuring. I can tell you i had my ups and downs with fs9 not only this GDI+ but cd related as well. Firstly, my fs9 CD4 was in perfect condition and all of a sudden i saw 3 tiny split in the corners of the cd and they got worst each time i inserted it (probably heat related from drive). I stumbled across "No CD crack fs2004" and was relieved by that addon. Then everything went well and start downloading addons for the PMDG 737. Which were:-1. RealityXp weather radar2.Added a pushback gauge because PMDG didnt have a pushback utility like LVLD3. Reverser spray and Rainwash effects by edward coxTo tell the truth, i dont know if these are related but i got a hunch its that "no cd crack fs9 exe as in an error report i more sure i saw fs9.exe in the report. I got a another cd crack from another source and same result. I removed items (above) 1. 2. and 3. same result.I reinstalled the PMDG 737 and still getting GDI+ error. I know definitely its not the 737 but something else. If there is any way i could change the FLIGHT NUMBER without going into the fs9 aircraft menu would be grateful as the error arises there. I cant do a return leg at all. Any input on this would be appreciated. Thanks and sorry for the long speech.

heat?? my CD4 has been used on my old computer and then in my new FS PC. my CD is from FS9 release day and looks new. do you store your CD, when not in the CD drive, away from heat/light? if the CD 'was in perfect condition' i'm assuming you kept it in a jewelcase (or similar).

the 'crack' isn't an addon. the crack is illegal software and violates the FS EULA.--

I suspect the GDI+ error is the symptom of a much bigger (perhaps system related) problem. You may need to look beyond FS9 in looking for a solution.Regards.Ernie.

If you reinstalled your 737 be sure FSUIPC is up-to-date from here:http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.htmlWhen you installed the "no crack" versions of FS9 you may have wiped out the 9.1 upgrade which some of the add-ons you installed probably require. When you state you installed the Reality-XP WX500 did you just do a normal install or did you try to do the PMDG 737 WX 500 merge. The merge is extremely dependent on the WX500 version (and that merge is not supported). If not the merge be sure the WX500 is version 2.0 or better and I recall it does require FS 9.1. It does deal heavily on the 9.1 upgrade and uses proprietary rendering to gdi. You can try uninstalling it to see if that helps along with your other add-on gauges, etc., and add them back in. Do not uninstall the PMDGs. The WX 500 also I think put a dll in modules. I have three Reality type .dlls listed in modules and I do have three of their products.I can't speak for the other add-ons.Just things to think about. You can pick up FS9 at retail for a very low price to get a good CD4. Here's one example:http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Flight-Sim...5949&sr=8-1You can then uninstall your crack version and reinstall it to get rid of the crack code which changes probably the memory locations for certain items to access. If you go that path be sure to eliminate the backup folder created by the 9.1 install called BACKUP under your FS9 folder and download and reinstall the 9.1 upgrade from:http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...76-618c4ab52aafThe 9.1 upgrade does more than correct scenery. You can then reinstall your add-ons and test each one before you add the next.Your Reality-XP license should remain intact unless you reformat your drives. I do not know about the PMDG licenses. If you are using the CD versions of the PMDG you should be OK. Remember that there are also service packs for the PMDG if you use the CD versions. No guarantees if this will fix your problem but if nothing else works it is a start. If you are using the downloaded version of the PMDG product I do not know if your same license key will let you reinstall it. Check their forum.

Thanks Ronzie for the advice. Anyways, my FSUIPC is still up to date (3.9.8) and fs9.1 upgrade is also intact as most of my dll read 9.1.0 rather than 9.0.0.Yes, i merged Reality Xp with the PMDG. I think the version was 5.1.0 or 5.2.0 (cant recall), but its the one that makes it work because one of the two presented errors at the main screen (everyone had this prob), but i found the correct version anyways. I uninstalled the WX but prob still persists. Sigh!!. What ever the case is, its that damn "no cd crack". I cant just remove it now or fs9 days are done as i no longer have CD4 and many retail here in Barbados are sold out. I just have to go with amazon then as you suggested. I wanted the crack to work as the constant playing of CD4 always expires my drive or rather shortens the lifespan of it (everyone has this, right?). I got in contact with microsoft on line and they put me on to Microsoft Supplementals Parts in Trinidad and Tobago for a replacement disc so i'll see what happens there. Also, i wanted to know if i got a replacement disc if it would hampered the other 3 discs i have as this maybe a totallt different written code thingy (i dont know lol). In any case, if push comes to shove will buy 2 fs9 packages to be on the safe side. Thanks, Ronzie again. I do believe the prob lies in that "crack".

WRONG!the drive runs for a few seconds to confirm CD4 is present. you can remove the disk once FS has started ... or just leave it in as the drive shuts down.my old FS computer's CD drive is fine ... 8+ years old.my current FS computer's CD drive is fine ... 2+ years old.my FS CD4 is fine.--

dude!! Are you serious. one can remove the disk once FS has started? I've got to confirm that not that i doubt you.

yes 'dude'.no real reason to remove the disk ... my CD4 has spent 95% of it's time in one of the CD drives. just sitting there, causing no problems, looking like new.--
Anyways, i've nailed the problem. It turns out to be an scenery related problem. I'm just clarifying my theory now, just to be on the safe side. Thanks again to you "scoob" and others that were somewhat helpful.

You can set your CD drive in a "sleep" enabled mode so that after it isn't accessed for a period it will stop spinning and just leave CD4 in there. Check it out in your device properties. Unless you are constantly pulling scenery from the CD that should not cause any stuttering problems.
