Hey Scott,Best thing to do when departing on unicom is to keep the TCAS on well before you enter the active, that way you can get a clear picture of any cowboy's doing what you just descibed.Regards

No worries mate :(
Just so you guys know, I do my best to avoid conflicts in the sim. Maybe its because I once had an A**hole in a blue and white Piper Lance cut in front of me while on downwind to land in real life. He had curtains in his plane, had brown hair and was wearing a yellow izod shirt. In the sim, most of my conflicts are on the ground. I once plowed into a UT2 plane that had pulled off the runway and was told to wait right where I clipped her nose with the -8i. 30 minutes of pre-flight, shot to h-e double sticks.

I was doing a GA flight (not online) into Hamburg and had an airliner pop up asking for clearence to land at 7nm out. It didn't take him long to overtake me in my Carenado Mooney while on final. I have a screen where he was 400 meters above me, but he had to have gotten closer than that. At least he was above me while I was on the glide slope, he wasn't. :(

I had a wonderful RA landing in SFO today. An Alaskan 737 set up his approach to the south of OAK, which put him across the approach path for 28R at SFO at about the same time I was. I was in the 735 (Analog) and didn't see him until the TCAS went off. Probably passed within a mile or so.

well during a flight with the queen to mallorca yesterday, i was told to GA, but as soon as i've pulled the nose up, the TCAS saied "descend" (at about 100ft above the ground)... you can imagine what happened next^^

Greetings from the 737 flightdeck!

Strange, cant see how that would happen, RA is inhibited below 1000ft on the real thing and PMDG 744 thats why you get the msg 'TA Only' on the ND - the whole point is to prevent the system giving instructions when close to the ground.RegardsRob

Once again proving myself as a learner to the queen, what does RA mean?

TA/RATA = Traffic Advisory - eg Traffic TrafficRA = Resolution Advisory - Climb, Descend, Adjust Vertical speed etc
