July 16, 201015 yr Hi,I have three 21.6'' monitors connected through Th2Go (driver 2.07.00.031) to GTX280 (driver 257.21). I have set custom resolution to 5040x1050x59.454Hz. Windows 7 x64 works without a glitch, but FSX cannot go beyond native resolution of one monitor (1680x1050).I have done it every time when reisntalling Windows, it works every time but not now. Rebuilding fsx.cfg does nothing... What can go wrong? Bartłomiej Ender
July 16, 201015 yr Even with WideAspectView=True in your fsx.cfg? what's your specs? Hi,I have three 21.6'' monitors connected through Th2Go (driver 2.07.00.031) to GTX280 (driver 257.21). I have set custom resolution to 5040x1050x59.454Hz. July 16, 201015 yr Author WideViewAspect has nothing to do with monitor resolution actually - I see 640x480, 1024x800, 1280x1024 and other (both 16:10 and 4:3 PAR). I suppose it is Matrox Software related.Specs involved are posted in the initial post. This is QX9770 + EP45 Gigabyte Mobo with OCZ 2x2GB 1333MHz. Nothing besides drivers changed since reformatting. July 17, 201015 yr Get latest firmware for TH2Go, easy auto installer! "I´ll rather be down here wishing I was up there than be up there wishing I was down here"
July 17, 201015 yr I have seen this behaviour with directx full screen games under Windows 7 (I use XP64 for FSX). To stop it, I terminate all Matrox TH2Go processes in task manager (they are pretty obvious) and the game will then use the full resolution across all screens. Its worth checking.Steve Stephen Munn
July 17, 201015 yr Have you set your screen to 57MHz? That could be it. Here "I´ll rather be down here wishing I was up there than be up there wishing I was down here"
July 17, 201015 yr Author Please read my posts with understanding.I have newest (as of today) drivers, Windows works on 504x1050x59.454Hz, but in FSX I cannot set anything more than 1680x1050 Bartłomiej Ender
July 17, 201015 yr Can you set it manually in cfg? This is what mine looks like.[DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285.0]Mode=5040x1050x32Anisotropic=1At one time my cfg for inexplicable reasons had two of these entries, and they were different in values. So, delete eventual double entry. WideViewAspect=True?! "I´ll rather be down here wishing I was up there than be up there wishing I was down here"
July 17, 201015 yr Author Been there, done that, but after editing, when I launch FSX, it switches itself to 1680x1050x32. Tricky one!I will revert the Matrox software and give it a try. Bartłomiej Ender
July 17, 201015 yr Matrox has a cfg editor, don't know if it does anything else than setting wideviewaspect, but worth a try... "I´ll rather be down here wishing I was up there than be up there wishing I was down here"
July 17, 201015 yr Author I do not install it - it only set 16:10 ratio as You mentioned.Anyway, going back to 2.06 solved my problem. Thanks everyone for trying to help. Bartłomiej Ender
