OkMy sim keeps Crashing to Desktop in certain areas.It used to CTD over Dover (UK) within 10nm of the DVR VOR my sim would just dieRecently i did a clean FS re install and it was fineNow....i get CTD over north Italy near the French / Austrian Boarder on the alps, all the time, ive attempted 4 flights (2 X LIRF->EGLL / 2 X LIRF->EGKK) and they all end in the exact same spotSometimes i get the "FS has stopped responding" box and sometimes it just goes straight to desktopAnyone have any idea on whats going on and any solution?Ice uninstalled scenery in that area (Aerosoft LOWI) but it still CTD, ill try again tomorrow without the Simwings LFMN scenery.Also i have Real world weather (15 min update) running and im flying online... But in the mean time...Any ideas / solutions would be appreciatedLiam

This is one of the beast of FS9 we still can't figure out. My sim always crashes coming into the NYC area with a complex aircraft. Complex or not leaving out of KRSW with Mach1's scenery for that airport results in a CTD if I fly from there to KMSP. On occasion a CTD will happen coming into KATL from random locations (say a flight from KCLT for example). I used to think it was my old computer but now I'm finding the PC is not the problem.What has been confirmed is with all the add-ons out there there's conflicts with everything combined sometimes. Hence things like Blueprint's KMSP putting an antenna tower on the taxiway of FlyTampa's KSEA was a big eye opener for developers and customers alike. You'd be hard pressed in most places to find out what exactly is causing various issue. Sometimes a texture file from an AI aircraft has gotten corrupted causing the issue. Good luck finding that one right away. It could be some other add-on on the other side of the world that's the issue. For NYC I use 'lite' add-ons when flying there hence the need for CLS's 767 when I already have Level-D's version. KRSW to KMSP is a lost cause so I fly elsewhere...I'm not telling you not to figure this out just letting you know the culprit could be a 'needle in a hay stack' to the fullest extent of the term. For me I just worked around the issue as it's a big world out there...

That 'blueprint' tower displayed in the default SEA scenery as well, so in that particular caseit doesn't appear there was a direct conflict with the flyTampa scenery, either way its good they havesince provided a fix for that.Liam: Its probably going to take a little trial and error on your part to track down the culprit of this issue. If it works fine with a clean install then you'll probably need to do another clean install, and install your addons one by one till you determine the culprit.Regards.Ernie.

If you've installed one or more of the following Airports/sceneries) than the North Italy crash is either from a bad AFCAD for The Venetian airport from the ISD scenery or else (and this is more likely) an error in one of the Croatian airports, either from HVar(LDSH) or Dubrovnik(LDDU), most likely a combo from the 2 of them.I also had this issue, I deinstalled Dubrovnik and ever since I've been troublefree in those regions.Now ,if I want to fly to Dubrovnik I just first deactivate Hvar(APT, photo,Starigrad) completely and reactivate LDDU and it stays troublefree.PS About your Dover scenery crash which you experienced previously, make sure you don't have the Occitania scenery installed (Western France, airports , Excluding folder, VFR folder and Landclass), they can give some troubles from time to time.Also for some reason I experienced serious troubles in the whole canal region after installing the Jersey/Guernsey payware from UK2000 , but I forgot, how I fixed that since it has been so long ago, BTW the Occitania package for some reason gave me big troubles (heavy stuttering and continous CTD's in the ALSACE region of France/Germany.

Clean install, yeah...3 and a half hours it took from the point fs was installed to the point all my addons were back on it...lolFor dover, i had no scenery installed around it, the nearest scenery to it was UK2000 EGLL & EGKK Xtreme and Simwings LFPGI removed Simwings LFMN lastnight, and attempted LIRF->EGKK and i seemed to get further, but that was at 1am, and i was tired, so i dont really know if i did or not, but i do remember actually getting to the alps this time...Like i said above, the only 2 sceneries i had installed anywhere near where i was flying was the Simwings LFMN and Aerosoft Innsbruck 2009, and they have both been removed.So ill try again in an hour or so and see if lastnight prooved it was LFMN Liam

Yeah it must have been Simwings 2005 LFMN, i tried without Innsbruck and it still CTD, tried without both, and ive made it up into Germany =)Cheers for you responses though guyslets just hope i havnt spoke to soon :( Liam

Liam ( and Arniepie )There was a texture? problem with LDDU by Davor Pulejvic which affected a large area of Europe. He issued a patch but it wasn't successful and still caused CTDs if flying there from somewhere else but worked if you started and landed there. I don't think he did more with that because he said he was doing a payware version.It was surprising how far away it affected and caused problems. After removal, all my similar problems disappeared.Colin B

I have no scenery for such areaall i did this morn was remove LFMN but yeah, my flight was a success this time, managed the Full flight LIRF -> MEDAL -> IXTO -> EGLL no problem Liam
