I know that your read this forum and work for PMDG. In fact you answered a ticket I submitted several weeks ago. I have a ticket no. 0EA-13D27569-76C8 which concerns PMDG addon liveries. It was submitted probably two weeks ago. I received an email from Paul Gollnick requesting some additional info which I provided on July 17, 2010. I sent an email several days ago concerning the status of this ticket. No reply. Yesterday I checked the support site and found out the ticket has been closed. I questioned why since the problem has not been solved. No reply, auto or otherwise. I don't expect you to solve the problem just get someone at support to do something other than close unsolved tickets and ignore emails.Thank youMichael Cubine

Really?What was the issue?Kyle
It was a minor issue about PMDG addon liveries not showing up in the aircraft cfg file but in the texture folders and consequently not showing up in the FSX Select Aircraft screen.Michael Cubine

If the entries are not being added to the aircraft.cfg it is normally a windows nanny admin rights problem,,, normally. Try to right click the addon livery installer and choose "Run as administrator". The textures won't have any issue because they are being placed, but the aircraft.cfg is being edited which is a bit different. This only happens to protected areas within Vista and Win7. I see you have the former. The Programs folder and Program Files (x86) folder (FS default) are protected and you run into issues like that unless you change the permissions in the security tab. You may also need to disable User account control. To avoid all of the need for any of this you can also (next time around), install it in a different location all together, such as C:\FSX. Or even better,,, D:\Myfolderthatwindowswontscrewup
