FSX on Ubuntu (Linux)

Featured Replies

Hi all,Im in the process of putting a new HDD in to my PC specifically for Ubuntu. Was just wondering if anyone has run FSX on Ubuntu. I intend to keep my Win7 installation for the time being, particularly for those programs that cant be run on Ubuntu. But there may be a point when i swap to Ubuntu completely (although not in any time soon and depending on how much i get used to Ubuntu).Any Thoughts?ThanksTom

Hello !It will be hard to run FSX on Ubuntu...For FS2004, the situation gets better and better: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?...on&iId=2819Not for FSX for now: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?...on&iId=7775And that's only FS... imagine the problems you'll have with some advanced aircraft add-ons.But you can use native Linux applications: X-Plane or FlightGear.Happy flying. :(
