DME not working in Wilco 737 PIC

Featured Replies

Hi,It's been some time since I last flew the Wilco Feelthere 737 PIC. Tonight I set up a flight from Geneva to Nice; FMC all set up. When I took off and began flying the route in noticed that the DME on the ND had no distance information to the next waypoint. Also of note was the ground speed was not showing either. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks for any assistance.Cheers, Pete

Thanks for responding Bryan, and I have to appologize that I was unaware that this forum was specifically for FS Crew. I was diverted here through an internet search of this issue. As far as the IRS allignment, I though it was. I did go back to that panel to allign them on one of the flights but realized that just messes everything up. I am wondering if this business of the database be out of date (error message on FMC) is causing the problems. It is sort of strange though. Just to clarify, when I set up the FMC and the flight plan is loaded and displayed on the ND, is there any other steps I need to complete? For instance, on some jets I need to switch the selector to "FMS" (such as on Feelthere ERJ) but I don't see this option on the 737. Another insteresting thing; after I posted this I went back to try a different flight from JFK to BOS and it would not even pull up the flight plan in the FMC. Perhaps there are multiple issues here? Hey Bryan, just wondering, but would your FS Crew program offer some assistance with these things? I have been very tempted to pick some of these up for some time now. I do appologize again for posted this question in what I now realize is the incorrect forum, and thanks again for your help. By chance, do you know where the correct forum is for the 737 PIC questions outside the scope of FS Crew?Cheers, Pete

Hi Pete,You can try the forum here:http://www.iemit.com/forum/You can also try emailing Wilco directly for support.FS2Crew would probably help you assuming you followed the FS2Crew to tutorial to the letter as the FS2Crew FO does a lot of the work.As for the FMC/IRS, I'd double check the 737 PIC manual and tutorial flight to ensure you're setting everything up correctly.Best,

Hi Petethe Wilco FMC setup can be a bit 'hit & miss' when trying to load flightplans, its been a known issue for some time. Some of us have found sucess by following the below steps:-1. Plan your flight in the 'Free Flight' Screen of the simulator main page.2. Use the 'find Route' screen to set your waypoints, cruising altitude etc and then click 'save'3. Then from the 'Free Flight' screen, set your departure airport and gate and then select the 'Wilco 737' as your aircraft.4. Start the flight, switch on the APU or Ground Power.5. Align the IRS6. At this point select 'Load Route' on the FMC and your flightplan should come up.7. then set your SID's/STAR's, Flap settings etc like normal.Regards Dave
