Imaginesim WSSS with Samsoft Singapore Scenery

Featured Replies

Can someone give me straight instructionn on how to do this. As in which bgl's to delete etc. Do we just install both as in settings > scenery in fs2004 unselect the Samsoft WSSS scenery? Is there options in the scenery selector for both scenery and airport separately? Can you tell me what to install with any patches neccessary in the correct order (eg Samsoft then samsoft patch then imaginesim WSSS?) then what to delete.Thx

I've read it. So is it that long list of bgl's you must delete definitely working? Also, what order to install things? I wanna know if you must install samsoft > samsoft patch > samsoft avsim patch > Imaginesim WSSS > delete bgl's???What's the way to do this?Anyone help...I don't need to install any Samsoft patch do I? Since it's only for the airport correct?

HiJust delete those BGLs from the Samsoft scenery - it will only take a minute or two (have had to delete vastly larger numbers of BGLs for scenery conflicts in other areas!!). I am assuming you have already got Samsoft The Very Singapore installed if you are thinking of deleting the BGLs - if so you don't need to do anything else other than installing ImagineSim WSSS. I already had the Samsoft patch installed but I am not sure if that makes any difference to ImagineSim WSSS. It all works nicely for me!Bill

Ok, sweet, so I have to delete the files. I'm thinking of deleting the Samsoft, I haven't reinstalled it because last time I got CTDs when flying out of Singapore.Pent 4 3.00ghz1gb RAM1gb graphics card (i think)

In all this mess about merging Samsoft and Imaginesim Singapore sceneries, I would like to add my two euroocents.I did use the Samsoft addon for years. But it looks old today, including the city and its surroundings. And the waterclass differs from my FS9 water, which does not look good.I also had some problems, including occasional stutters and errors. So the scenery is off my disc now. Its time has come.True it's a pity Imaginesim did not offer us more than just the airport but, on the other hand, that's the way they make their adoons. It's hard to get great airports with cities and surroundings today, something like FlyTampa did with Hong Kong and St Maarten. Pity, again. In the meantime I would like to recommend downloading and using the freeware rendition of Singapore city, called 'Singapore 2004 Central Business District'.It was made by David J.Scott and you can find it here in the library as 'singapore2004cbd.zip'. Looks good when manouvering on approach or departure:WSSSBCD.jpgBetter than a stick in the eye! :(
