August 7, 201015 yr Liam,What I am going to say is probably not what you would like to hear. Anyway, I'll try. :(I remember trying to use the default RW weather download option and getting frequent problems with it, including the one you described.Plus there were other errors concerning some library files, especially the weather.dll.Then I decided to try some weather addons and... this was the last time I've experienced the default RWX.So what I am saying here is a recommendation for you to use weather addons. You will forget about the errors plus will get many more options and better weather depiction. There is some good freeware around, FSMetar ( http://personal.tele...es/web/fsmetar/ )coming to my mind now, but if you don't miss some dollars go fro ActiveSky ( http://www2.hifisim.com/ ). You will never regret it.
August 7, 201015 yr "An error occurred while downloading Real World Weather. Please check your internet connection and configuration and try again."It may be worth checking your FS9.cfg file has the correct entry under [Weather]:WeatherServerAddress=fs2k.zone.comThis tells your system what server to connect to for the weather.Sometimes that server is unreachable for some reason. If you still have this problem, try visiting http://fs2k.zone.com/ on the web and see if you can access it. This will tell you if the server is reachable.John My co-pilot's name is Sid and he's a star! http://www.adventure-unlimited.org
August 7, 201015 yr This use to be a problem that occured once or twice a year. I believe that the primary problem was that Jeperson site, used by FS9, would go off line for maintenace.Tom
August 7, 201015 yr Author It hasnt gone of for maintenance, as i have asked the users on my server i co-run to test theirs and its fine.I was thinking of completely removing the FS9 cfg to see if that resolved it when it created a new one, but....i will go check the weather partI can click that link, and it loads perfectly, telling me how to download real world weather, that is, if that what it is meant to say... I will go see what i can do.Cheers for your responses guys, much appreciated :)Liam OS: Windows 10 Home Premium 64Bit CPU: Intel i7 4790K Quad @ 4.4GHz MoBo: ASUS Z97 Pro Gamer GPU: nVidea/Gigabyte GTX980 RAM: 16GB (2x8GB) Corsair 1600C9 Vengeance DDR3 1600Mhz PSU: Seasonic X-650 80+ Gold Monitor: ASUS VG248QE 1920x1080, 144Hz, 1ms
