No FS2 audio

Featured Replies

When I speak I get the confirmation of what I said on the screen but I hear no audio from FS2Crew. I do get an error message on initilization saying to check that the FS2Audio.dll file is in my Windows/system32 folder. It is. I can hear everything else through my headphones, i.e. engines, cockpit clicks, etc. but no FS2Crew audio. Any suggestions.Jeff EvenRocklin, CA, USA

Hi Jeff,I will quote what Bryan said in another thread...maybe thats a solution for you, too. If not, we will have to wait for Bryans response.Bryan:"When you installed FS2Crew 767, did you let the installer complete its install or did you hit 'cancel' before it finished? It's a bit of a long wait because the installer is updating your DirectX files, so I can see some people might just click cancel. Please re-install again, but make sure the installer finished all the way. Don't hit 'cancel'.It'll take several minutes.Let me know if that solves it for you."

Got the same issue, however I dont get a initalisation error, I ran it first time, and all audio was fine, however now when i run it I am getting no audio from the First Officer and only occasional audio from cabin, basically when i got to the stage in the PF where the FA asks to board, I dont hear her ask, but if i say yes, she answers.Any ideas why it worked first time, but not this time? All my commands are being seen and acted upon but no audio heard.RegardsJames Carr

Hi Jeff,See Benny's remarks.Make sure the install goes "all way" don't click 'cancel' before it finishes.I had a couple other users with a similar issue and they resolved it by re-installing their OS (fresh install). We could only speculate that trojan/virus/corrupt system file was somehow causing problems on their system.Best,

Hi James,It worked the first time but not the second time... Just try again, it may be a one-off thing. If it worked the first time, it should work again.Best,
