August 7, 201015 yr Moderator I have just recently installed KDFW by FSDT and am having a very minor issue with texture bleed thru in one corner of the airport which I believe is mesh related based on disabling the included mesh that the airport comes with and disabling MegaScenery Dallas. The only thing left to try is to disable or rename the FSGenesis mesh file for the Dallas area, however I have no idea which folder that DEM file would reside since the folders go from 0000 1107. I would like to try this while FSDT is working on their end for a solution. Thanks in advance for anyone who can help me track down that file.Regards Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
August 7, 201015 yr Dallas, home of JR, is covered by the 0202 folder.I would be surprised if there is a mesh conflict, because FSX is *suppose* to honor layering of folders when it comes to mesh.
August 8, 201015 yr Author Moderator Thanks meshman. That's the way its supposed to work anyway. Here's what I have installed for that area.UTX USAMegaScenery DallasFSGenesis MeshFSDT KDFWNo other afcads for DFWHere's whats happening.FSDT's version came with its own mesh file. When I run the airport with everything listed above active I get some funny bleed thru to the MegaScenery Dallas photo scenery in some areas of the airport grounds. If I disable MegaScenery Dallas I still get the bleed thru, only now its to the GEX textures. If I rename the mesh.blg that came with FSDT DFW to .bak and run it, most of the texture bleed thru is gone, except for one part of the airport on the north side. I also have mesh set to 10m and full mesh complexity like FSDT specifies. The only thing left I can think to do is try removing the FSGenesis mesh for the area and see if that makes a difference.I will give it a shot and if it doesn't help I will just put it back. Thanks Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator

Hope this fixes my problem.Regards Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
August 8, 201015 yr FSGenesis mesh regions coincide with FSX scenery regions and they are listed individually in the scenery.cfg file. You don't need to "remove" anything since they can be disabled/enabled independently. The SDK (Scenery and Terrain SDK)has a simple world map that shows the main regions (which coincides with the scenery folders and FSG uses the same numbering system).Loyd Hooked since FS4... now flying: FSX Acceleration on Win7/64, Core Duo E8400; GA-EP45-DS3R; GTX 460-768MB; 4G RAM; Freezer 7 Pro
August 8, 201015 yr Author Moderator Thanks Loyd thats good to know. I had know idea there was a map in there.Unfortunately my idea of removing that 1 mesh file didn't seem to make a difference. Must just be something to do with the scenery itself. Hopefully FSDT will be able to sort it out. Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
