August 11, 201015 yr I have a Radion HD 4650 video card and it is suppose to run at DX10.1 I am only running Windows XP o/s so that currently limits me to DX 9.0cIf I upgrade to Windows 7 which is a DX 11 o/s, will my video card now run at DX10?Terry

August 11, 201015 yr That HD4650 will can run either DX9 and DX10 graphics under Windows 7. Games interact with the graphic card driver to find out what DX the card can handle so it can do the appropriate stuff for the graphics card. FSX will run DX9 under Windows 7 / Vista unless you enable the FSX 'DX10 preview' mode (which IMO is a cruel hoax). I use DX9 for running FSX under Win7. It is hard coded into XP and can not be changed.Running FSX in DX10 preview mode can be done but a mojority of people prefer the DX9 setting. Many get flashing taxiways and other artifacts. FSX was designed to run best at DX9.Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
