August 18, 201015 yr I was looking at ATL at around noon with UT2 airliner traffic set to max, and no GA traffic, and max of 500 planes and ATL is only half full. Any ideas or tips? I also see no AC on the runways or taxiways. Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated.
August 18, 201015 yr Moderator A few points to consider.1. UT2 only injects the traffic 20 minutes prior to its departure. So if Delta 648 is set to depart at 10am it will appear around 9:40.2. After a plane arrives it will disappear in 20 minutes. So when Delta 648 arrives at 5pm it will vanish at 5:20 to make room for more arriving traffic.3. Check to make sure your afcad has enough parking and that the gates are the correct radius.4. Print out an arrival/departure PDF for KATL. Once you have it look to see what airliners fly there and what planes they use. Then go into the assignments page for the airlines and make sure all those a/c that are supposed to be their have paints assigned to them. Sometimes some airlines will be missing paints causing them not to show up, or if they have the Daedelus(not sure how its spelled) default paints and you have Display default paints unchecked you will not see those a/c. Its not uncommon for some paints to be missing as I have installed probably upwards of more that 100 paints UT2 was missing.5. In real life most airports are not 100% occupied unless a bunch of a/c land then all get socked in due to bad weather. I was in KATL in real life not too long ago and could see the aiport thru the window on both departure and arrival and the gates looked to be about 70% to 80% occupied. Much like any other major or big hub I have been to in real life they are never completely packed.6. If you still cant get enough traffic with that, consider adding a WOAI package for Delta to add some more AI. Just make sure to set your FSX Airliner slider to about 40% so you dont have traffic overload. I have done this with a few more obscure airlines that UT2 doesn't display that much of and it works well, is free, and only takes a few minutes to do. Just make sure to convert the traffic bgl to FSX format.POST EDIT: I have UT2 and at the Imaginesim KATL I have a lot more traffic than I need at 100% setting in the UT2 UI. Probably about 80% occupied, plus I have WOAI cargo carriers installed like FedEx and UPS. Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator

Then I hit ctrl+shft+f11 to reduce the traffic, save the game, and then the traffic reloads and a few spots are open.jja Jim Allen[email protected]SkyPilot Software home of FSXAssist / P3DAssist
August 18, 201015 yr As someone who flies out of ATL at least once a year, I can attest to the fact that it is not filled to 100% capacity even at an early hour. During the day it is typically 50% to 70% filled. I think I have to much AI when I start from ATL on a flight and I have ImagineSim's ATL for both FS9 and FSX (though I do not fly FSX much, no 737 NG yet). There are only a small handful of GA planes that fly from ATL so if you only see one or 2, then that is normal. Supporter GhostRecon.net | AGgReSsion WhiteKnight77's Place Mike Shannon
August 19, 201015 yr Okay thanks everybody, its working better now that I updated with AFCAD files. Was 4th in line for takeoff and one was behind me :). However all the planes landing were going around. None landed. I think this is due to the AFCAD file...

If you dont mind spending a few bucks the Imaginsim KATL is pretty good and when I installed it I actually picked up a few FPS. Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
