New computer

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have a new computer that has BOTH FS2004 and FSX running on it? If so, please advise how the computer is configured to run both. I understand that Windows 7 will not run all FS2004 programs well on a Windows 7 (64bit) machine, but runs FSX very well. jerrycwo4

Not sure where you heard about issues with WIN 7/64 and FS2004.I run both sims on same system (my PC is 3 years old) and have no issues related to WIN 7/64 bit. I made sure to install the programs into their own directories on C drive - do not install into PROGRAM FILES directory. :( Best decision I made was to leave XP/32 bit for W7/64. :(

The only thing I've really heard is that FSHotSFX for FS2004 will not run on anything past XP. Hence on my new PC, I have a dual boot system: XP for FS2004 and Windows 7 for FSX.
