Pre-flight sound effect

Featured Replies

Hi all, fairly new FS2C user here - settling in with the default 737.When I begin the pre-flight sequence, the first sfx I hear is a ringing bell - the movement alarm from the jetway. The second thing I hear isn't easy for me to place, and I'm curious as to what it is. It's a repetitive chattering sound that lasts for a few seconds and stops when I hear the FO begin to click things. My first take was that it's a pneumatic air tool being wielded by someone on the ground crew. I've since speculated that it's a phone ringing, but quite frankly neither guess makes sense. Since no one on my cabin crew can answer the basic questions - Who's calling whom and What's in such need of repair this soon before takeoff - I thought I'd ask here. What am I hearing??Regards and thanks. (Seriously, FS2C has a wonderful product here and I'm looking forward to moving up to more complex aircraft soon.)

Hi,That 'chattering' sound is the sound of the FA's welcoming the pax on board. You can faintly here them through the door.Glad you like FS2Crew!Cheers,

Hi Bryan,Sorry but "chattering" was the wrong term to use (I wanted to go for 'chittering.'). I do hear the faint sound of coats being asked for by the FAs (even when departing the Caribbean ;-) but the sound I'm referring to is something mechanical or electrical repeating four times. Something on the order of 'DI-DI-DI-DI-DI' [pause] 'DI-DI-DI-DI-DI' [pause] 'DI-DI-DI-DI-DI' [pause] 'DI-DI-DI-DI-DI.'The only other characteristic is that I hear this on the right channel, whereas the first preflight sound effect - the jetway bell - is heard on the left channel.Regards,
