I also wanted to mention that IMHO, the tweaking circus has ended for those of us with proper, well tuned systems. Since ******* completed his work, the search for the next new miracle tweak seems to have subsided.
True, but I am weary of OC'ing my CPU all the way to 4ghz. Not comfortable with it and could not get success when I tried.
I would go with Evga. Great customer service. Lifetime warranty. A forum you can go to. I have always liked the Evga cards I have owned.
Amazon has a good deal on the 480 right now, $430 after rebate!

OC'ing is pretty painless if done right. A word of advice, don't set your bio core voltage to "Auto". Depending on how high you OC, that is just asking for trouble. lol Also, pay attention to your memory divider, sometimes it is the key to a successful OC.It's too bad Bing Cashback isn't still going. For a while there, you could get an Evga GTX 480 for about $380 after rebates/cashback.

Hi,I'am thinking about buying a new computer:I7 860 oveclocked at 4.2asus P6X58D-E corsair dominator 6 Go DDR3 1600Mhz C8Nvidia GTX 480 1.5 GoWestern digital 1To 64 Mo 7200tr/mn Caviar blackCoolmaster Haf Xcooler Master GX power 750 wSeven pro1 year warrantyWill it be enough for FSX or should wait another couple of decades? :( Will I need to tweak the the FSX cfg file ? :( Will it stop blurries, stutters? :( Will it still struggle to give more than 20 fps? B) Thanks
Here's my point of view: I run FSX on a mid 2010 iMac 27" (i5 quad), and I run FSX mostly well. Depending on the aircraft and scenery, I can have 40FPS, but usually I have around 20 FPS, with about 10-15 at the busiest of airports. I personally think that's rather good. Note that I do use *******'s fsx.cfg!

Hello yankeegolf3,On the humourous side of your posting, we all get quite tired of trying to fix issues with add-ons and FSX. So I thought maybe we can all get together and actually go to a really nice, funny CIRCUS! You know, with elephants and lions, and trapeze artists, and those amazing clowns who never take anything seriously. The clowns may actually have a solution for the tweaking circus with which we are faced... who knows! :( A clown LOVES a good laugh and there is so much ridiculousness in FSX to laugh about... it's not even funny anymore. But the flying must go on, we say, eh?! FSX (and FS9 too) is addictive. Hence the continuing stooooory of us "quacks" who have gone to the dogs (of FSX and the tweaking circus show!) :( John

I love flying my "iddy biddy Jumbo"
