I say before start checklists and the only thing the FO says is windows? and I respond closed and locked. That's the only thing he says. I never get a ready for pushback either. Half the time the game stops before take off and says microsoft flight simulator has stopped working. Any suggestions?

I read through the manual and I'm about to print it out now. I did the speech recognition through my computer. I didn't see anything else for voice training. The farthest I get on before start checklist is oxygen: Tested. Never anything after that. I also don't get the after start flow checklist, nor the runway entry procedures never come up when I say it. The green box says I'm saying it but nobody responds or the FO just says check.

Make sure you run the 'voice training', button for that is on your Window Speech Recognizer page.Try again after 'printing' out the manual... You need to know "what to say" and you need to know that many of the checklists/commands are mode dependent.Cheers,

I have now gotten to passenger signs on the before start checklist. no fuel,bus,cdu,or trims though. Before start procedure still only says checked. FO doesn't ask for beacon:on, hydraulics:on, fuel pumps:off, packs off: it goes straight into the FO saying ready to start engines captain. The after start checklist works. It says AFTER START FLOW and to trigger the speech command after start checklist again and nothign happens. The manual says the FO is suppose to ask APU: off, ANTI ICE:as briefed,Packs:on, isol switches:off, recall:checked,autobrake:set. Still not able to do the runway entry procedure. What could the problem be. I notice that the manual says Pre-Take off for the runway procedure but the actual panel says TAKEOFF ROLL. Is there a possible conflict with the software or a update needed. I run windows 7.

Hi,FO does not 'ask' a lot of those things.They are are flow items and the FO does them by himself (when so triggered).Did you ever print the manual? That's really a must.Please print it out... go the tutorial section... and follow it slowly line by line.The tutorial explains everything in great detail.Also try watching the little teaser view... it's not a teaching video, but shows you what things should somewhat look like.http://www.youtube.com/user/FS2Crew?feature=mhumIf you follow the tutorial carefully, everything will work.
