October 5, 201015 yr Ok, so this is like the 4th edit i've done to this post and i'm just gonna re-write it.I just want to know if the fix for the black flashes in the PMDG 747 when you leave fsx in full screen and come back is done like this: Add under the [GRAPHICS] section HIGHMEMFIX=1? or is there supposed to already be a part named HIGHMEMFIX because if there is, I don't see it.Also, very important. When you save your settings in FSX such as autogen and what not, are you supposed to save it under MyDocuments/FlightSimulatorXFiles or in the Main CFG located in AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/FSX replacing the original one?

What I know is that FSX uses exactly ONE .cfg file, and that is in your roaming appdata folder. Make all your changes there. October 7, 201015 yr Author Ok thanks but do you also save the changes you make to your fsx settings like scenary complexity in there too?
October 7, 201015 yr Ok thanks but do you also save the changes you make to your fsx settings like scenary complexity in there too?I am not sure I follow, but any settings you can make in game, doing so will make the correct changes in the cfg file. October 8, 201015 yr Author Ok, so you mean to say you've never changed your settings in the tab when you start FSX you know? Start FSX, wait for it to load, open settings tab in bottom left, mess with the sliders, then what? Do you save the settings or leave them unsaved because I think if you don't save them then when you exit FSX, you will have to chose your settings again do you know what I mean?So down to the point. After making my selections on how I want to adjust my sliders in FSX in the main menu part, (NOT DURING A FLIGHT), am I supposed to save the settings and replace the main cfg file when asked to do so. Using W7 BTW.

October 8, 201015 yr There is a save function that I think you are referring to.. But there is no option to save to .cfg file. It just saves a copy somewhere that you can recall when you select it with the load button (or whatever its called) in the FSX config menu. Sander Rutte
October 8, 201015 yr Author Oh ok. I always thought that you had to hit the save button and pick a location for the settings to be saved for the next time you start up FSX.
