"ex : 60% chance of engine 1 flame out over a 3 hours flight"- Is it possible to use PMDG failure option "747, MD11, 737, ...", with any mission maker software available on the market ?- Will LUIS GORDO - INSTRUCTOR STATION, be fully compatible with the PMDG 737 NGX ? Do you have any contact with the developer ?- Is it possible to increase the sound volume of the : *Touchdown main wheel, *Rolling main wheel, *Touchdown nose wheel, *Rolling nose wheel ?Benjamin

Regarding the touchdown roll sounds etc, you have been able to adjust those sounds for as long as I can remember.Most addons just use Wav files, you can add your own, increase/decrease the volume as much as you want. I Dont think I have any addon that uses the default setup, we all have different speaker setups.

Thanks Rob, I was thinking about this too, increasing the sound of a specific audio files, but which one ?I would like to thanks other PMDG customers, they very often give help and support before the official one does.Benjamin

Hi Benjamin, Just got home and goin straight to bed :) I found a good workaround for the MD11 without editing the sound.cfg, if your using any other aircraft send me a PM or get back to me here tomorrow and I'll talk you through it.Cheers

Hey Benjamin. I imagine this will be possible on NGX. With the MD-11 right now I can either select a failure, and say I want it to happen with between X and X time, or at X time. Also you can use the module to say you want X number of random failures within a given time range as well. It has quite a lot of flexibility. I always go the random route as I like the unpredictability. It winds up being a lot of hydraulic related failures though (do not know if this is by design, but 7 out of 10 times I get hyd related failures). I think for NGX it will go far beyond what the MD-11 has with Robert talking about actually tracking hours/cycles on components (he said it may be in as they are looking at it, or may come in a patch later). So I think we will have truly random failures based on abuse of the A/C, instead of solely using a menu to select failures and such although that will also be there too in the form of a FMC menu.

Gents-The failure module that we used in previous PMDG products does not live up to the standard we want for PMDG's products.We have a completely new methodology with the NGX that will give you more control and flexibility than you could possibly wish for.We'll give you more details on this in future preview postings.

That sounds a lot like some kind of accu-sim system like in the A2A B-17. I must say that if the PMDG version of it is as advanced or (what it will probably be) more advanced, I'm just gon'na take my 737 up and fly her until the wings break off because of bad maintenance...

Thanks Rob for pointing out the sound.cfg, it list all the files name, so i can easily backup and increase the decibel a little bit on each files. :(
