Unable to load FS2Audio.dll

Featured Replies

Reinstalled Windows Vista 64bit and everything, now I cannot access FS2Crew for the MadDog... Everything says it should be in \Windows\System32, installer puts it in \Windows\SysWOW64, unzipped and copied the updated FS2Audio.dll into both these folders (as I had done before, to cover all bases)... Except now I get the error in the attached image... Worked fine before the reinstallation...Any ideas why it might be doing this?

Hi, When you installed FS2Crew, did you let it install "all the way" or did you click "cancel" before it had time to finish?FS2Crew will install the required DirectX files, and if those Direct X files are not installed properly the audio engine won't load/work.Also, try re-installing the VS2008 C++ run times from here:Download link: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=9b2da534-3e03-4391-8a4d-074b9f2bc1bf&displaylang=enLet me know.Cheers,

I'm absolutely sure I did... But apparently something else caused the Directx setup to fail (without an error message) or corrupted it between the time I installed it and the time I finally got around to trying to use it.Tried the vcredist package, with no help...So, to follow up on the Directx question, I tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling this FS2Crew. Appears to be working perfectly now... :) Thanks :)
