October 15, 201015 yr Jim, maybe you can shed some light on this, because I don't get it:Transatlantic flight, in-bound North America , just off the Canadian coast, station CWCA reporting FL340 winds 254@46, temp -58,4C. FSX reporting FL340, winds 277@46, TAT -29CAnd this is just one of the fixed stations that doesn't match the actual vs the reported weather. Why the discrepancy?Menno Menno i7-11700, 16GB, 1 TB SSD, 2 TB HDD, RTX 3070, Windows 11, MSFS 2020 DeLuxe, P3D 4.5
October 15, 201015 yr Looking at this data the only problem is wind by about 20 degrees. Dont you think that this is acceptable? Speed, and temp matches so? Tom Link
October 15, 201015 yr Have you checked for magnetic variance. ASE reports winds as true whilst FSX reports them as magnetic. If you load the flight plan into ASE it will show you the mag var for each waypoint. Also FSX varies the weather all the time once it has been injected. Stephen Munn
October 15, 201015 yr Hi,TAT is always warmer. Slow down to near stall speed and the 2 temps. will almost come into line.
