October 18, 201015 yr I'm considering make the move from TH2Go to NVidia surround. A question for you - I understand about the higher resolution gains but are you also seeing performance gains with NVidia Surround over TH2Go, or is performance about equal? OK by me if so - it's just one more thing to consider. Thanks - am interested to hear what those who've made the move have to say.Best,AlanHuge performance gains for me. Not sure if FSX accepts sli, but even so with the GTX 480, at least, there is a huge difference. Very smooth. Keith Sandford.

Did you run the TH2G on the same system, before switching to 2x480 and NVidia surround? Also, was the improvement mainly in terms of smoothness, or additional frames, or better texture rendering, or all of the above? Sorry to press you, but the idea of switching to NVidia surround is only a day or so old, and I'm trying to get my mind around it. Thanks in advance! No stuttering ever. Immediate texture rendering, which is very important for me as I fly very low. Additional frames? Oh yes. You will need to bump your PSU up to a 1000W minimum. The only problem for me, at the moment,is that I have to run in DX10 preview mode in order to get high frame rates as their is a DX9 bug in the nvidia driver at the moment. Keith Sandford.

Hadn't heard about the bug. What driver version? Also, do the DX9 problems occur only in 3D surround, or in 2D surround as well? Alan Ampolsk"Ah, Paula, they are firing at me!"-- Saint-Exupery
October 19, 201015 yr Very interesting... As I could get a second GTX460 for the price of the TH2GO, don't know if my Corsair pro series 750W would be enough though but I think it should be ok... Cheers, Thomas
October 19, 201015 yr [Also, do the DX9 problems occur only in 3D surround, or in 2D surround as well]? Very good question. Will check tonight and report back.[don't know if my Corsair pro series 750W would be enough] Not sure either, be very careful, and if in doubt upgrade. I've heard a few horror stories of overloaded PSU's. Keith Sandford.
