October 3, 200322 yr Cheers, Holger I'll check it out...didn't really think of trying other data sourcesMuch appreciated :-)RegardsDave

October 3, 200322 yr Commercial Member Hi Sherm:Josiah's mesh files are a good example of "oversampling". He probably used DTED0 data, which is about the same resolution as the default FS data (~1000m) but compiled it at a much higher resolution of 38m (at least that is what I could glean from his sparse documentation). In contrast, Nanuqq's files are based on ~90m data and compiled as LOD9 (76m). Obviously, his source data are much more accurate but if you had both Josiah's and Nanucq's files installed the former would show. In other words, it's important to know both the resolution of the source data and the resolution of the compilation.Having said that, I know that some people actually prefer Josiah's files over the LAGO terramesh files (which seem to be similar in quality to Nanucq's files - I don't know first-hand 'cause I don't own them) because the more accurate the mesh the more likely you'll see problems due to the inaccurate locations and elevations in FS of airports, lakes, rivers, etc.I suggest that you download one of Nanucq's files, install it in a separate folder(!) and compare the two.Cheers, Holger
