On the "liter" side

Featured Replies

I am looking for aircraft for FSX that are a step up from the default aircraft but are less complex than some of the "study" aircraft simulations available. I am looking for something with great graphics and good flight models but not something that I have devout a large amount of time to learn every detail. I initially thought that the "F-Lite" series would be ideal. So I purchased one of my favorite aircraft - the DC-10. Bottom line was the virtual cockpit (I only fly via virtual cockpits) was poor. Not the quality at all I was looking for. So a couple of quick questions.1) Was that an early model for the F-Lite series. Did the quality of the graphics get better with newer models?2) Are there any other competitors to the F-Lite series (for heavies)?3) Are there any larger turbo-props that fall into this category? I have the PDMG B1900C and D but, even after following the instructions to get them working in FSX, I still have graphical issues with the plane. Thanks

The lite system heavies might get covered by the CLS releases too.More than light but not too heavy will be Quality Wings I think.Just a few names that hopefully fit into your description.

If you haven't looked at the Overland models they certainly fit the lite category. Available on SimMarket. Easy on frame rates which is a big plus in FSX. VC's aren't the most stunning but really not bad. Pablo Diaz did make-over textures for the A380 and 340 which really take them to the next level. (iberiaec10b.zip, a380photov2.zip) The night lighting is stunning. Can't recommend them highly enough. I've been hacking them into the A320, pics below.BeforeAfter

So is anyone out there using any CLS - F-Lite aircraft? What do you think of the quality?
