October 20, 201015 yr let me re-write i meant to say: i used to have the wilco airbus installed, but it took it offKarim, The Wilco airbus, which you know of course, does NOT cost hundreds of dollars. He meant the Project Magenta software which you also mentioned to 'have lost', right?im considering getting project magenta, but how do you install it, i used to have it before, but its lost now. is it a panel or just systems and you need to make the panel?BTW: Don't be sorry about your English. Many here are not native speakers.
October 21, 201015 yr Author Karim, The Wilco airbus, which you know of course, does NOT cost hundreds of dollars. He meant the Project Magenta software which you also mentioned to 'have lost', right?BTW: Don't be sorry about your English. Many here are not native speakers.Right, now then, im not quite sure if have completely lost project magenta, i have to search for it since i recall storing it someplace else. so i cant really say i have completely lost it( i got a bit confused on which one he was talking about: wilco or project magenta:Confused:). i simply do not know how to install it. as i have said before, i burn most of the software i get to cd's or store them in external drives. so im still questioning that one.
October 24, 201015 yr Author Go the the FLPN page and make sure the waypoint you want to head towards is the first one on the list. Or use the direct to function. For the PSS AB, for the rapid climbout, make sure you're using enough derate/flex and also that you're using the unofficial FDE tweaks that make the planes behave much more accurately. I do agree that the bank angle it uses is too steep- but in my opinion the PSS AB merged with the overland models is the best combination that I've used, and I don't feel like spending money on the wilco product which I have heard bad things about when I'm happy with what I have. And I don't know if I understood you correctly, but the PSS 777 is more advanced than the PSS AB in my opinion, featuring things like a working inertial nav system, weather radar, automated checklists, etc.HI, im a bit unclear on your description, what i want to do is fly the SID manually and then go from there and engage the A/P. my question is, how can i do that so that when i engage the autopilot, it does not go back to the first waypoint?in example: (takeoff zurich runway 28) LSZH28-SID(whatever waypoints there are in the SID)-VEBIT(i engage the A/P here)...rest of route
October 24, 201015 yr The FPLN page on the airbus works just like the legs page on a Boeing FMC. The active waypoint (the one that the autopilot will head to) is at the top.I don't have the charts on me, but here's what I think you're asking:1. Take-off and hand-fly up to VEBIT2. Once at VEBIT, look at the FPLN (flightplan) page in the FMC. You should see individual lines for each waypoint. The one at the top is the "active one", or the one that the autopilot thinks it needs to go to next.3. If the "active waypoint" is not the one after VEBIT, you need to hit the button on the FMC that means "direct". I think it's abbreviated "DIR".4. At the DIRECT page, you see a similar list of waypoints. The one at the top is the one the autopilot thinks is next. Just select the one you want the autopilot to fly to by hitting the key next to hit, and the autopilot will automatically go straight to that waypoint and then follow the rest of the route. The waypoint you just selected will jump to the top of the list and become the "active waypoint"This is how you can go directly to a waypoint. Let's say that you only want to put a certain waypoint up top without having the autopilot start to fly to it- to do that, go the FPLN page, select the waypoint you want to go to. Then hit the button of the waypoint at the top of the list. This will do the same things as the DIRECT function without activating the autopilot, so you can follow the flight director. At least that is how it works with the PSS airbus. I'm not sure which version that you're using.
October 24, 201015 yr I use the Wilco Airbus Volume 2Best designed panel of a a330 I think! For exterior I use Wilco too and sometimes posky...
