Confused with texture and weather addons

Featured Replies

I have FS 2004 and FS Global 2008 installed. I am looking for an add on, or combination of addons, which will enhance my textures ( Sky, clouds, water, ground, etc).I have read about REX, and Ground Environment Pro. In looking at the galleries of this two addons, I could guess that Ground environment Pro has an emphasis on the ground textures, cities, rural areas etc ( I saw the screenshots and they look really amazing), while REX concentrates on sky clouds, water, and sky. Can this two programs co-exist at the same time? I read the online tutorials of GE PRO, and in the second tutorial they explain how to create texture sets, and they warned about possibly taking up to 80 minutes in creating them. I assume this is done only once? I want to accomplish the following:1. Best possible Clouds, Sky, water, and ground texures.2. Have the possibility to obtain online current weather and applied it to my flightplan to see conditions change at departure, arrival and some en route points to reflect forecasts3. Be really, really simple to operate. I want to spend my time flying and enjoying the scenery not programming weather and textures. What should I get REX or GE PRO, or both? or any other available add on?ThanksJuan

HelloGet both and also get ASE for your weather engine, REX has a weather engine, ASE is better IMHO.

GE Pro - which will take care of ground texturesREX - which will take care of clouds, runway, sky, water, sun, runway lights...textures.AS6.5 or ASE, for weather engine. Don't use REX weather engine, cause it work little...weird.

My Specification: I CAN RUN FSX IN MAX SETTINGS....i don't care about dell, bell, amd, intel, 60000 wats power supply or alien made graphic card....
