Ms Flight vs Fs2004 video..

Featured Replies

I disagree . you can reasonably judge it once we see the features and enhancements list.
I disagree with this statement. The features and enhancements list that FSX originally provided especially in view of their minimum system requirements (i.e. 1.0 GHz CPU, 256 MB RAM & 32 MB DirectX 9.0c compatible video card) did not give the real picture. This is the reason why many went back to FS9 until FSX had the service packs and more powerful computer hardware arrived. So judging will be when you have Microsoft Flight running on your own computer to the level of satisfaction that you require.

Heaven forbid I have to start making those silly "run and gun" type games :( :(
Make a good one and release it for XBox and you could probably buy your own Level D sim. ;) Those things sell like hotcakes. See the Call of Duty franchise.

I dont follow your logicFSX, FSX sp1, FSX sp2, FSX acceleration, FSX gold .. all iterations of FSX, just like Xplane iterations..
Just to make something crystal clear here. 'I' haven't said that, PMDG have publicly said that.PMDG WONT make any add ons for XPlane until Austin stops bringing out the miriad of 'updates' during a release as he currently does.

Ok then if PMDG is not willing to offer changes to their product why should I buy the FSX version of the NGX when I already know the Flight version should have hardware accelerated guages. It's a genuine concern after all I'll be the one parting with the money, not the developerHow do I know they aren't going to ask for an extra $80 for an optimized Flight version? Hearing those words against minor changes in x-plane doesn't help the outlook when it comes to something major like added DirectX support.

regarding this video - it is my opinion that the supposedly Flight! video is nothing but an enhanced version of FSX. i dont think microsoft would let someone break their NDA like this and still agree to have this video on youtube.Felix.
This statement doesn't track...This video is simply a split-screen with the publicly available "Teaser #3" video on the same screen as a new video recorded in FS2004 (FS9) as a comparison. There's no NDA involved. No mystery. No surprises.

I suppose it comes down to which platform you're going to be using really. I myself recently bought the 747-400 add on for FSX and to be honest I can't tell any difference ,apart from some nice shiny exterior panels, from the FS9 version really, apart from a much greater hit on frames.
