October 28, 201015 yr Hi AllI am contemplating purchasing Volume 1 of the Wilco/Feelthere Airbus package as I like to fly shorthaul european routes and a lot of these routes are fulfilled by the smaller Airbuses. I already get lots of enjoyment out of the PMDG 737 but it would be nice to be able to mix and match and fly a combination of Airbus and Boeing jets.It looks to tick all the boxes in terms of functionality for me, and there seems to be a plentiful supply of repaints in the library, but I have heard some bad press about it, especially about the crashing to desktop problem when changing aircraft/ending flights on Windows 7.I would appreciate any feedback on this product from anyone who actually uses it.Kind regardsMartin
October 28, 201015 yr system wise wilco isn't as advanced as PMDG. model isn't accruate. currently i'm merging their airbus with overland while waiting for the airsimmer a320 to be completed.
October 28, 201015 yr The one above me is right, the models aren´t as good as PMDG, but I use them somehow often and had never such a problem with my Windows 7. This crashing is mostly affectet by the pc itselfe and the behaviour of such problems is different from one to another. As I allready mentioned I had never such a problem. But If you search an pmdg like rendition, you may be dissapionted. In fact the models are a bit older and sometimes the VC looks a bit blocky, but the avionics are guite good, I didn´t find any bug in the avionics´and the fly-by-wire system is also guite good. October 28, 201015 yr This is not meant as a plug, but I wrote a very lengthy review about this product over at simflight.com. For my full impression go here:http://simflight.com/2010/08/08/review-part2-airbus-vol1-deluxe-fs2004-version/Note that the reveiw is split in two. The link brinsg you to part 2, but inside it is a link to part 1 which mainly talks about the exterior/interior model and the sounds. October 29, 201015 yr Thanks for the helpful responses.I don't use VC, only 2D cockpit anyway so the quality of the VC doesn't bother me one bit. What I was looking for is something where I can get all of the Airbus jets in one package (or two volumes in this instance!), have a good supply of liveries and repaints available, and look good! This seems to tick most of the boxes, I don't use a lot of the advanced features of the PMDG models anyway, so they don't need to be as complex system wise.I think I may take the plunge....!
October 29, 201015 yr I think I read somewhere on AVSIM that Wilco was redoing or upgrading the A320 series....you may want to wait for that.
October 29, 201015 yr I think I read somewhere on AVSIM that Wilco was redoing or upgrading the A320 series....you may want to wait for that.HMM, an upgrade of the A320 series would certanly be great. Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h
October 30, 201015 yr system wise wilco isn't as advanced as PMDG. model isn't accruate. currently i'm merging their airbus with overland while waiting for the airsimmer a320 to be completed.Where did you get the overland wilco A320 merge? Can you direct me to it.Thx
October 31, 201015 yr Well I did it! Took the plunge and I have to say I'm happy so far! Only thing I don't like is the CTD when trying to end a flight and go back to main menu but not a major issue.
