Hi to all people, is there any kind of software for planning a VFR route?I'm looking for a software that has the capality to measeaure the distance of a specific fix from a reference VOR (useful for cross-chek fixes - when over - without printing charts and measuring the distance and radial with plotter).I know Plan G, but it doen't have the published fixes, only user waypoint fix.Thanks a lot,Riccardo

Flight Sim Commander 8.6 will let you do that, enter some waypoints into the flight plan then highlight the waypoint you want to measure from, then move the mouse pointer to where ever you want to measure to and FSC displays the distance and bearing to the mouse pointer.Be aware a new version of FSC (9) is coming out in the very near future (days).

Plan G. A great freeware (yes, I did say freeware) planner. The newest version will be out shortly. But yes, it does include all waypoints in FS9/FSX as it builds it's database from the scenery installed. Try it out at http://www.tasoftware.co.uk/. Registration required but again, totally free.

It's a great tool, but does it support the published VFR fixes or only those retrieved from FS9/FSX database?
