October 10, 200322 yr Does anyone know if its possible to fly online in multiplayer with someone acting as pilot and co-pilot in the same aircraft? Seems like this would be great fun.
October 10, 200322 yr Commercial Member I don't believe it is, but I've often wished for this functionality. It seems like since there's an instructor's module there must be a way to do it. The only issue would be having each of the players control the same aircraft, but that's what the instructor can theoretically do. Or at least that's how I understand it. October 10, 200322 yr It's not possable "out of the box" and I've never seen a 3rd party program that did this. That said, I'd be surprised if it couldn't be done. I too have always thought it would be a great feature and a super way to share some fly experiances without having to involve a lot of people.TonyDigital-Flight
October 10, 200322 yr Commercial Member I think it is possible with NetMeeting....I think there is a mode where you can log takeover the screen/computer of the person you are having the meeting with. I am not sure if the controls will respond. I have dial up but I am willing to give it a try.Just my thought. May MSN messenger is a candidate. There is an option where it gives you the option to start a game while have a conversation with someone....this could be a way to interact and see if it worksCrosswind KROSWYND a.k.a KILO_WHISKEYMajestic Software Development/Support Sys 1: AMD 7950X3D, NOCTUA D15S, Gigabyte Elite B650, MSI 4090, 64Gb Ram, Corsair 850 Power Supply, 2x2TB M.2 Samsung 980s, 1x4TB WDD M.2, 6xNoctua 120mm case fans, LG C2 55" OLED running at 120Hz for the monitor, Win11. October 10, 200322 yr When PIC767v2 is released you will have the option to fly online or with two networked pc's at home in pilot and copilot mode as the new package will have the option for networkable gauges. For me the news is quite exciting as for example, if your copilot is setting up his fmc, you will then see the changes in your own and that goes for pretty much anything else your FO does.Regards,Van LatendresseYeoDesigns/AFG GroupPanel/FDE Designer
October 12, 200322 yr I seem to remember reading that if you join a MP session as an observer you can sit in the same cockpit as a fellow pilot and observe what is going on but cannot take over control of the a/c.The Instructor mode that came in with FS2k2 I believe only allows you to see the a/c on a moving map but not from the cockpit although I have not tried it myself.
