October 12, 200322 yr It's been uploaded to Avsim and should appear soon in the file library. This update changes Landclass Assistant in order to support the 257x257 .raw file format, which is more accurate than the 256x256 format previously used by Landclass Assistant. Also, it uses the great little utility, FSConnect by Russ Dirks, to allow one to capture and plot the latitude and longitude directly from FS2002/FS2004.For those unfamiliar with landclass, with a landclass utility and FS2002/FS2004's autogen feature, you can change the face of the MSFS world without having to know sophisticated scenery techniques. You can add a city where none existed before, "update" your home town to reflect growth, or populate that little island in the ocean with palm trees... For my long time users, thank you for your support...!~JohnHere is a link:http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID...04sd&DLID=37381

October 13, 200322 yr Thanks John...I used it to convert the Florida Landclass for FS2002 to the FS9 version. Works Great and it's easy to use.Joe W.
October 13, 200322 yr Thanks again for all your replies and support.... LCA is a fun project. And Russ, if you're reading, thanks again for FSConnect. For those who don't know, Russ has a landclass tool of his own that is popular. In spite of that and my "competitive" tool, Russ worked with me on creating FSConnect, and both tools have benefited and have stayed available to our community as a result..... I don't mind seeing other landclass tools out there--MSFS's realism really begins with the accuracy of the terrain we fly over. We all have different ways we approach things--some may find LCA easier, while others may find Russ's EZLandclass easier. The point is I hope more people get involved in making Landclass. Try both tools out, or perhaps Dick Ludowise's tools.... Use what works best, and share your results....Meanwhile, I'll be plugging away on LCA 2.0.... No more changes on the design part, but I will be adding project management tools to the program as well as a compilation option from within the program. No ETA on it yet, but the one thing you can count on is it will be freeware. My payment is found in the comments like the ones shared in this thread, and in the projects simmers are releasing using any of the tools out there...Regards,John
