November 4, 201015 yr I have been playing with the HJG 727-200ADV model and panel the last few days, and I'm having a blast with it. I am getting a kind of whirring-rattling sound in the cockpit when I first show up in FSX, engines not running. It is still there after I get the engines started and persists throughout the flight. Is this normal? It is a little annoying. Is it something that needs shut off after the engines are running and stabilized, like an APU or something like that? Thanks. David Norman Paul

November 4, 201015 yr Aren't those instrument cockpit sounds? These are especially normal, even on the DC-9s and 737-200s. "It goes without saying that when survival is threatened, struggles erupt between peoples, and unfortunate wars between nations result." -HIDEKI TOJO
November 4, 201015 yr Yup, it'd be the instruments, they're all clunky old mechanical stuff on a 727, the other annoying noise is the three Pratt and Whitney JT8Ds bolted to the back of the thing :-)Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

I love that P and W whine/roar. I am really amazed at the quality and detail of this model. David Norman Paul
