November 5, 201015 yr If we're getting into ridiculous comments you could do worse that to consider the following. It's a bit noisy where I'm currently having lunch but I'm sure that I just heard a newsreader on UK's Radio 1 state that there were clouds of smoke coming from the wing that had caught fire. Yesterday it was just the engine. So my congratulations go to the Jedi pilot who, by tomorrow morning, will have flown the aeroplane back home in kit form. For what it's worth, I'll still fly Airbus, Rolls Royce and Qantas.:(
November 5, 201015 yr LOL, what a surprise. Will this company ever make a quality aircraft? I'm glad all are safe.Doh!http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-pacific-11702365 Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)
November 5, 201015 yr In Drumcode's defense the Airbus aircraft are geared to be cheaper "easier to fly" aircraft. That being said... dumb comment....And I'm a Boeing a really excited user... Could you have guessed?Interesting though: There's a video on youtube (very popular) of RR doing blade off test to insure the engine casing's ability to contain such failures. Guess it wasn't an N1 blade... ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
