November 12, 201015 yr Please be carefull modifying ORBX stuffThis is what happened to me when I did modify the radio panel and GPS to also show Terrain etc..!."Sorry bliksimpie, you are banned from using this forum!Following an Orbx staff meeting this morning, it was decided that a full ban should be imposed on your account for your repeated insistence on modifying Orbx products and sharing your mods with the community. You now have a full ban imposed with no reviewThis ban is not set to expire."So be carefull not to do mods and when u do please keep it on your own PC. if you still feel you need to do mods.. go ahead, if they do however bann you, you can just create another logon as they try to block you, but that is actually easy to bypass.
November 12, 201015 yr Author No worries, Jared over at Orbx did one for me.Mainly it consisted of working with layers and opacities to get it looking right. But mine turned out horrible lol. Please be carefull modifying ORBX stuff"Sorry bliksimpie, you are banned from using this forum!... repeated insistence on modifying Orbx products and sharing your mods with the community. You now have a full ban imposed with no reviewThis ban is not set to expire."Seems a little overkill, didn't you just ask their permission to modify the gauges? Sharing mods is usually embraced by developers.... maybe there's more to this? | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
November 12, 201015 yr yeah better idea to get Jared to rather do the mods..That way you at least have their stamp of approval..and yeah I did do a lot of mods..! no denying that.. Only thing is some of my mods did not go down well with ORBX and I respect their feeling on it. end of the day it is their product. Edit... Snip snip /endeditSo no sweat man.. I did push the envelope with my mods and my handling of the situation and have given Jared a really bad time for not allowing me to post the mods so that fellow simmers could at least see what can be achieved... authentic or not. It is the customers who need to make the decision if they want it or not. So no denying that I was an angel. Just do not want you to make simmilar mistake. What I am trying to say to you is rather keep your mods over at ORBX and you will be fine and dont publish at other sites if you need modifications to do to an ORBX product..! It is being frowned upon. So you are right you dont just get banned for nothing, but my mods could have made their customers "unhappy" with the standard delivery and might have asked for same kind of mods (even though the mods are not authentic to the original plane on which it is based), so I guess they have done the right thing, taking everything into consideration..!
