Running FS2004 under Windows 7 64-bit. 2 days ago I purchased ($12) and downloaded and installed w/o issues Bird's Eye View scenery for USA/Canada Autumn season from the fspilotshop. After a default settings install and a "Successful Installation" screen at the end of the install the desktop BEV Configurator complaons I do NOTR have FS2004 installed. Of course I DO..moreover the BEV install had no issues and even verified a "successful installation" and diredcted me to run the Configurator II from the desktop icon. I can't as BEV automatically exits when it 'thinks' I do not have FS2004 on my PC.The BEV webpage is no more and I have emailed to the support address provided on the fspilotshop site. So far..no answer...no email bounce so it did arrive somewhere.MY QUESTION: Has ANYONE had similar issues with BEV Configurator II / FS2004 / Windows 7 64-bit ?? Is it Windows 7 compatible? My other add-ons find my FS2004 installatiuon or tghey ASK ME where it is and all is well...BEV seems outdated and dumb in it's install that is 100% and then it syas "hey where's FS2004?"If this product cannot run on an FS2004/Windows 7 setup I want my $12 back! ALSO - if I get no support reply I want my $12 back. Spoke on the telephone with fspilotshop and they referreed me to the support email address.....we'll see how it goes.

I would uninstall it. If you haven't already, disable Windows 7 UAC, disable any anti-virus program, then reinstall.Best regards,Jim

HelloWhere do you have FS2004 installed ?.If it is under Program Files X86 then that may be the problem.BEV is an outdated product in that it was designed long before Windows 7 released.

The BEV config simply doesn't work with windows 7, and there's no way to make it work either. You could manually transfer all the required texture files over to your fs folder rather than using the GUI, but this would be incredibly difficult and tedious due to the folder structure that BEV has used. I'd just get a refund if you still can.

Actually, it does.  You need to make sure that your Registry points properly to FS2004.  I have it running under W7 Ultimate just fine.
