November 12, 201015 yr Hello everyone! I am thinking about purchasing the Carenado V35B Bonanza, but before I do I have a question...The first question is, are there 3D knobs in the VC, and if there is does it have the option to have them removed like the F33A did? I have a bunch of the gauges from Reality XP including the GNS suite and the Flightline N & T gauges and I want to be able to include them into the VC without having to deal with the knobs getting in the way. Also, I noticed that the pictures on the Carenado website had a few problems with overlapping and misplaced buttons on the radios, does anyone know if that was fixed? It looks like a great plane, but I want to make sure before I commit to buying it. Thanks again everyone!
November 12, 201015 yr The first question is, are there 3D knobs in the VC,Yes ...and if there is does it have the option to have them removed like the F33A did?and yes :( The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA

November 19, 201015 yr The overlapping radios/misplaced knobs problem was fixed by Tuesday afternoon. And why is there absolutely no official information on that? Not on the Carenado News, not on the Carenado Update page, not in the forums, not in any emails to the customers? I must say that I'm really starting to get fed up with the complete absence of customer communication. It's ridiculous.
November 19, 201015 yr No idea, Patrick. Maybe it was felt that since the problem was corrected within 2 or 3 hours of release that no announcement needed to be made. They can see their sales numbers, and it's possible that only a handful had sold by the time they fixed it. I do know that it was remarked upon, and that a redownload of the V35B was all it took to correct things for the early buyers...someone commented on it here.Pure speculation on my part, of course. Still, even without much communication, Carenado put out some very nice products, and they're willing to listen when knowledgable people step up with ideas for improvement, as we saw with the F33A, the 185F, and the Caravan. October 16, 201114 yr I am a simulator pilot only, with over 4 years experience (not new to FS or a variety of aircraft - payware or stock planes that came with the game). I have been flying the V35B from Carenado with FSX for about 2 months now, and it is still giving me some issues on landing, specifically ballooning and bouncing. I am being very careful to meet the suggested airspeeds and configurations as posted in the POH and the landing checklist; however I still can't get a smooth landing. Is anyone else experiencing this problem with this specific aircraft? I am not a real-world pilot, so I don't have experience in this plane to compare with the simulation, but I have done a lot of research on landings (and specifically what may be responsible for "ballooning" and other common landing errors). I have no trouble with landings on other aircraft (light or heavy), even if I haven't flown them in over 6 months. While I am always trying to refine my skills, I am just finding a smooth landing in the Bonanza to be too much work. I will, no doubt, continue to learn more about landings and landing errors (as well as log some more time with this aircraft). But I wanted to ask these questions before I dive any deeper than may be necessary. Could there be a problem with the design of the Carenado V35B, or is the experience realistic to a real-world V35B? Is there something that I should know about the particulars of this aircraft, so that I can better adjust my approach toward better landings? Thanks!
October 16, 201114 yr I've just finished completely new FDEs for the Carenado V35 and F33 based on the new A36.I expect them to be available from the Carenado website within the next few days as a free optional update. The new FDE will definitely improve handling and your landing experience :(
October 16, 201114 yr That's great news Bernt! Thank you for you precious services here. I love the Bonanza, born the F33 and V35b, I don't own the A36, and they will become even better! David
