November 18, 201015 yr Gents,Over the past two weeks i have been building a new engine for my car. i have stripped it restored it and now it is like new. many hours have been spent building it and getting it right but im incredibly happy with the end result.Robert im sure you can relate to this with the NGX, I have literally done so many little bits and pieces of perfection to the engine when sharing my work with those who ask where ive been for two weeks i cannot even find the time to go through all the little bits and pieces of perfection i have put into this engine. Sometimes i get a raised brow from people as to why on earth i would waste my time going to those lengths, it is not a show car or a race car, its just my car i drive to work and back everyday. My reason is self satisfaction in knowing that everytime i change my oil i can see every gleaming nut and bolt and be proud that work was my own. My only trouble is after doing all this quality work i cant even begin to explain how many things i did to this engine without a chair and some chains to restrain the listener for over 8 hours Enough rambling and to the point, I am curious as you grow closer and closer to release do you think you will find it hard to post updates on many of the features the NGX has? Or will time possibly run away from you? The thing with long projects like this is one day its almost like you go to bed one night and think "jeez well that came about quicker then i expected.... now i have to do this and this and this..." etc. Robert, i have the highest respect for you and the team, i do not wish to come across as though i am prying for information. This is related to life and time management of our goals, absolutely no info regarding the NGX is necessary. Quite frankly i enjoy waiting for/reading your updates Take care-Dan Parker
November 18, 201015 yr Cool to have someone know about cars on here. I'm the same way, but I am an ls1 fanatic so I am in the go fast world. It's the best feeling in the world fixing your own car...and it's cheaper except for getting an oil change. Steven Penninck
November 18, 201015 yr Commercial Member Dan-I get it!I do this with airplanes... I've run two restorations to date- and I am pondering a third... (More on that after the NGX is done... I odn't have time to go into all those details!)Thanks for passing along your excitement in reading the updates. (Check the "NGX Brakes" thread for some tasty bits...) I had planned to do an update last week- but my schedule has been pretty chaotic and some of the pieces that I want to show off needed a bit more tuning.Shortly... We've got some real fun stuff coming up now. Robert S. Randazzo PLEASE NOTE THAT PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM You can find us at: http://forum.pmdg.com
