November 21, 201015 yr Hi guys,Ive been using RC on and off for a couple of years. Ive just reinstalled FSX and RC, Works perfectly. Upon looking at some other addons I came across REX2. Now I installed this and it works fine.. however it seems to clash with RC. Upon loading my flight plan into RC, clicking start and switching back to fsx the RC display does not come up and the plane "bounces". Very odd behaviour. Ive tried everything from reinstalling fsuipc to deleting the fsx.cfg and letting it rebuild from scratch. The only thing that solves the problem is uninstalling REX2. The RC display then comes back up and everything works perfectly. Im obviously guessing REX2 alters some files or something that RC needs but I can't pinpoint what. Any idea's?Thanks
November 22, 201015 yr Well.. seem to of narrowed it down a little more. I installed FEX and again RC has stopped working. Reinstalling the default textures from the backup it made made RC work again. Is this just incompatible with any other addon that changes texture files??

November 22, 201015 yr Did REX2 overwrite FSUIPC in your FSX\modules folder? FSUIPC for FSX must be at 4.60 or later, the interim update is from here:http://forum.simflight.com/topic/66139-updated-modules-18th-november-2010/Also get the newest makerwys from here and then from within RC run the scenery rebuild:http://forum.simflight.com/topic/66136-useful-additional-programs-1st-november-2010/If you are using the REX2 flight planner for creating or modifying plans, please paste a copy of one here using notepad to copy/paste the .pln file sent to RC. Insure you create a flight or load a flight from the same departure airport as used in your .pln.Since you reinstalled FSX then run the free flight1 registry check and repair utility from here:http://www.flight1.com/view.asp?page=libraryIf nothing shows up in these checks send the log in as jd requested, instructions pinned at the forum top.

I could not attach a log file here as that was what I was assuming you ment. Ive emailed you another log file. There are no visible error messages just the problem of no RC display in game and the plane being halfway in the ground upon launching RC.Thanks again,
November 23, 201015 yr hi,I am using REX 2 and FSX together with RC4.3 without problems.I use FS build as a flight planner and only use REX2 textures. My main weather program being ASE.Do stick with it as many of us are getting good interworking using the add on programs but it does depend on how you are using each program etc.You do not explain that in great detail!PS RC4.3 can run a little slow under certain circumstances.Norman Bowman Norman Bowman
