December 4, 201015 yr Hi PMDG,Just a small question.- I see in some "cockpit vids" that the 737NG can print the ATIS information at a small paper in their own cockpit. Just on simple words: a printing machine in the 737NG cockpit.Comes PMDG 737NGX also with the "printing machine?" It would be sooooo awesome if you can print the ATIS information at a paper instead of pressing the ATC button and thenasking for ATIS.Thanks in advantage! Steven Albi
December 4, 201015 yr Would be pretty cool to have something like this, and it tears off and appears on the clipboard (Oh yeah, this is only flight sim :(), where we usually hide ours, specially at the moment, just hurts to see all that snow causing chaos here! Do you think we could also have a feature where some paperwork is slotted between the thrust levers? You always see that in our flight decks, and others it looks so that'd be a pretty cool feature to have, maybe something you can choose? Would add a little bit of 'being there' maybe...but it's nothing compared to systems before you say "I don't care about that, I just want systems" - get over yourselves Regards. Rgds - Sam Harridann

I coped with the same prob when I did an app that among other things printed flight strips, which in real life are also on a tiny piece of paper that most printers wouldn't just take.Other than that problem I feel it would be difficult to get access to FSX ATIS. Where and how would you want to retrieve that info from? Maybe there is a way but I am not aware of one. The only thing I could think of (and that would likely be feasible) is to download METAR and TAFs from an online source and print these. Personally, I'd be more than happy if we had a METAR request capability within the CDU, like a pseudo-ACARS feature. Not quite like the real D-ATIS since it lacks TL, APP, RWY and additional info but seems like a fair compromise to me.
December 4, 201015 yr I think he means virtually print it out, and add it to the clip board, kind of like the interactive load sheet the J-41 has to the left of the Captain's seat? I think it would be cool as well, but as a side note if you go to www.airnav.com and go to the airport page. You can type in the 4 letter ICAO code, and on the right hand side of the page you get all your METARS, and all the Approach Plates are at the bottom of the page. Pretty cool, and all for free. Also you can check gas prices so you can figure out how much you have to pay for gas. :( I don't think they will have a feature like that as I think that would be hard to code (I could be proven wrong, just look at what they've done with the HGS). So anything is possible at this point. Whenever I get the manuals after I order them though I will let you know.
