Will we receive any sort of manual or quick start guide?I guess what I'm asking is will we be able to fly the plane with included documents rather than spend the cash on the paper manuals?

This was answered multiple times - the software comes with pdf documents. You may read specific reply from RR.

I can confirm for anyone concerned, that the Flight Crew Operating Manuals Vol 1 & Vol 2, plus the Flight Crew Training Manual will be included with the product in PDF format. We are still working out details on the QRH availability. I think it is likely that the only change you all will see is that we do not make these documents available as a free download from our website. This is being dictated by the people who own the manuals- and as such we shall comply- even if it isn't our first choice.

So I'll take advantage of your thread Ryan, and ask PMDG again to please keep us posted on the progress of getting the QNH approved for the download package as well

It is not them that want to hold the QRH back from the download. It is something they are trying to work out with Boeing who owns the book. I am unsure why Boeing would ok all of the publications except the QRH for the download since the bigger books contain what I would view to be the more critical company information. Only person that would know is the one doing the deal (most likely Robert), and I am sure the binding of that deal is all confidential. So we will never know why if it is not included. I am hoping for everyones sake he is able to pull it through.

I know it's not PMDG Steve, I'm just asking them to let us know when they're granted permission to package it with the NGX, that's all. We'll find out upon release anyway, so I don't see how they would want to keep that info to themselves
