December 10, 201015 yr Hi guys, after getting so much help from you in choosing the right GA plane for me, I´m now searching fo a new joystick. I currently own an 3 year old Saitek Cyborg Evo. He did it´s job very well, but since last year one knob is missing, so it´s pritty bad do fly with that. He was my first stick, although I had some others. I once had an Saitek Cyborg X, but unfortunately after flying arround, the rudder axis stopped responding, so I gave it back. The next one I´ve tried out was the Saitek X52 Pro flight system. There the installation went well and all worked correctly, untill I installed the additional drivers and the software from the disc that came with. There also the rudder axis stopped working and after reinstalling the drivers with no effect I gave this one also back and switched to my old cyborg evo. This worked well all time, but now it´s time for change. So I´m now searching for a new joystick or yoke, I ´m not sure what I should choose. Can someone give may some ideas? Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h

December 10, 201015 yr Or the CH yoke and pedals, they also work very well. For flying most planes other than fighters and a few GA, yoke and pedals are the way to go, not a stick. Jay
December 10, 201015 yr I have been using the Saitek AV8R (Aviator) for several years and I find it to be by far the best joystick I have ever owned. It is simple yet I find the sensitivities to be perfect for my liking. At $40 I thinks it's a steal. I no longer use a yoke since I like to recline (typically with a beer by my side) when flying the sim and I find that using the yoke after some time in an office chair becomes somewhat uncomfortable.Cheers, Pete Pete Solov - Lake in the Hills 3CK and Schaumburg Regional 06CProud AOPA Member - PPL 2001Real World Piper Cherokee Pilot
