December 11, 201015 yr Why am I now getting messages and pop-ups like this exhorting me to "Call this phone number in the United Kingom with Skype: +441201004" Gerry Howard
December 11, 201015 yr When you install Skype it also installs a plugin into your browser. When it recognises what it believes is a phone number, it provides a shortcut to make it "easier" for you. It looks like it's thinking the date from the post is a telephone number. You should be able to disable this feature in the Skype program on your computer, or through the plugin settings from within your browser. EDIT: I see your using Firefox. Try navigating to Tools>Add Ons and see if Skype is listed under any of the sub headings. If it is you can try disabling it.
