December 12, 201015 yr Dear PMDG,Usually, when I fly in FSX, it's on multiplayer since I prefer to fly with others. I usually join the FSMP( www.fs-mp.com) session, which is as close to the real world as it gets in FSX(To me at least). However, my question can be linked to any other FSX session. Before your decent, lets say that you stated in your flightplan that you were going to be inbound via avalible STAR appointed by ATC, and the approach doesnt know what a star is. Or, you get premission to approach via a star, and, since they have no idea what it is, insist that you follow there precise heading and altitude, what do you do? I'm not sure and since one contoller might have knowlage and give you premission, and another might have no clue what your talking about, I end up being stuck in the sky since I dont know how to approach, is there a certain protocol I'm suppost to follow? Thanks,Spencer Hayes(Lovetofly28) My Layout HP HPE-510y Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit Processor: AMD Phenom II X6 1055T 16.8 clock speed! December 12, 201015 yr If I understand you correctly, you were given a clearance by one controller and the next one doesn't have knowledge of the clearance? Thank goodness that is a rare event in the real world! I'd say the guys playing like they are controllers didn't coordinate your handoff from one to another. Dan Downs KCRP
December 13, 201015 yr Commercial Member My suggestion would be to join an online session capable of actually simulating real operations. VATSIM or IVAO - up to you - but I have never heard of FSMP until now and it doesn't look (or sound) too convincing. Kyle Rodgers
April 22, 201115 yr I don't know what controller you had but that is definitely not a good representation of FSMP.
