Crash with 3rd party fuel planner

Featured Replies

Well, after downloading an amazing fuel planner from: http://www.4shared.c...el_Planner.html , I found out that I can't use it because of this: png.png?1292197935http://s952.photobuc...current=png.pngwhen trying to enter in the cruise altitude. Anyone know how to fix this? Really weird error that I have seen before but I see no reason for it to occur w/ this program.EDIT BY MOD: TITLE CHANGED - DO NOT POST NONDESCRIPT THREAD TITLES, ESPECIALLY ONES THAT INVOLVE PROFANITY.

I believe it's to do with 64bit OS. I used to use that fine on my laptop (32bit Windows 7), but it's always thrown that error up on my desktop (64bit Windows 7). That might just be a coincidence, but it seems fairly likely!

How do I get rid of it? >.<

That app uses a programming API called Jet 4.0 that isn't supported in Windows 7 x64. The programmer of the app needs to use something other than Jet, which isn't supported any longer by Microsoft - I don't think there's anything you can do to make it work. I see the same crash here.

Yeah this too... I'm gonna edit the title to something more like what he should have posted.

Put your route into the FMC, add any winds etc and the observe the estimated fuel remaining at the destination on the PROG page. It's way more accurate than any external utility is going to be. That's essentially what real life dispatcher applications are doing - they have the actual performance and fuel burn data for the airplane, which is how the FMC predictions work too.

I run this prog on Win7 ULT x64 using Win-XP Mode, I'm afraid your version of Win7 can't run Win-XP Mode. Sorry.P.S. just rechecked the sys req and home premium does support Win-xp mode. I may be wrong again so check it out yourself.http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspxAlex Cadle
