December 18, 201015 yr Hello first of all!I have a big problem with Flight Simulator 2004 & FrapsWhen I start recording in FS2004 fraps shows a very high framerate around 50 (in Recording!). But the videoclip is laggy! There are many frames which have 15 or 16 frames but not longer then a secound. But this makes the video very laggy. Is there any problem with the configuration, or what could it be?Here is a video clip with this error: You can see it in the clip around 0:58My system:Intel Core i3 540 4x @3.064 GB RamNvidia GTX 460 @1GB RAM1,5 terrabyte HDDWindows XP ProffesionalI would be very happy if someone has an idea :D
January 6, 201115 yr Where had been the erreor? I didn´t see one. Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h
January 7, 201115 yr Does the scene by 0:58 looks smooth? No it does not!The scene is very rough, but Fraps says I have a very smooth framerate (around 40 in this clip)the real frame rate must be much lower because it looks so laggy.Where is the problem?
January 7, 201115 yr Wirklich? Bei mir sah das ganz schön flüssig aus, konnte da nix erkenne außer nen kurzen hänger, vielleicht meinst du den. Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h
January 8, 201115 yr Hello first of all!I have a big problem with Flight Simulator 2004 & FrapsWhen I start recording in FS2004 fraps shows a very high framerate around 50 (in Recording!). I wanted to ask what scenery/autogen/ground texture packages you used at around 00:58? Very nice video! Thanks,Dirk.
January 8, 201115 yr FlugSimulatorXfan, I forgot to add, that a video card with 1Gb onboard may be too much already for the limits of the 32-bit VAS at times, as the video's onboard ram addresses the same VAS pool. I think it's time to switch to a 64 bit system for the newer/bigger video cards and be on the safe side. The last safe video card in this respect I believe was a 512Mb card, with all the necessary switches in the boot.ini and >2Gb aware heading for fs9.exe. So your current and future hiccups and stutters are also possible (among others) to some inherent conflicts in your 32-bit VAS as well. I can attest to the fact that fs9.exe runs visually smoother in Win7 64-bit environment (and I'm a fresh eye yet, have just installed it). There are some other unpleasant problems though.Cheers,Dirk.

January 12, 201115 yr Thanks for that tutorial, but it doesn´t make anything.I still have small frame increases of 14 frames wich make the whole video laggyThats my problem! To set Half-Size on fraps is no option for me sorry. Unfortunately I can't offer you a solution as I beleive this is something inherent' date=' it is the way how the code works (or doesn't work at short moments), and no future hardware will improve it much (I'm on gtx580).
