January 1, 201115 yr Am Looking for a 757, 767 or a 777. What is the best payware one out there. Have been gone for a few years and I know back then (2004 or so) that PSS was the best but heard there gone now. Any Suggestions? Thanks
January 1, 201115 yr It depends on what you want to see fleshed out in a product. Here's my list757:- Captain Sim: great modeling, but many people find the systems to be lacking. Things are (apparently) lacking, or simply wrong.- QualityWings: Not so much system simulation (it's medium kind of product), but the modeling is very good, you get all models in one package, and the soundset is extremely good. I prefer this addon to Captain Sim.- PSS: Visuals are not great, but some people say PSS ahs the best systems (most correct, anyway). You can still get it from JustFlight.767:- Level-D Simulations: I recommend this product over almost all products I know. The systems are great, and it's a very reliable addon. I have had not even a single problem with it and I love to fly it. it's one of my favoriet addons of all. One thing though: the VC is showing its age.- CLS: Very ncie modeling, but hardly any systems modeling. For those that want more than the default planes have, the CLS is no option.777:- PSS: The systems I think are very good, but the model isn't good. However, I have merged it with the freeware POSKY 777 model, and thus I have the best of both worlds: great visuals from the POSKY model and great systems from the PSS model. Do note that while you can get working displays in the POSKY 777 VC,. you won't get a fully interactive VC to sit in, so most of your flying will eventually be from the 2D panel. However, I have great fun with this plane and after the merge it has quickly risen to the top of my mostly used aircraft. You cna buy the PSS777 from JustFlight. These are the planes I know off and are worth considering. To recap, I'd say take the QW757, LDS767 and PSS777 merged with the POSKY777, and you have a great lineup. January 1, 201115 yr 757 - Qualitywings - a little bit lighter on some things compared to PSS but model and extras put it ahead I think. Captainsim is said to have greater depth but apparently a frame rate hog.767 - LDS hands down - though complex I would not even consider another package.777 - still PSS systems wise - there are panel merges if you don't care for the model. January 2, 201115 yr Am Looking for a 757, 767 or a 777. What is the best payware one out there. Have been gone for a few years and I know back then (2004 or so) that PSS was the best but heard there gone now. Any Suggestions? ThanksI have the PSS 757 and 777. I bought the 777 initially, and found it to be so good I got the 757 and am impressed! Have spent time in real cockpits so I think they are the best you can get.The Level D 767 is probably the best product ever made for Microsoft Flight Simulator. From the cockpit sounds to everything (apart from no weather radar!) it has traffic too and will speak up!!!I would say depends what routes you wish to fly. The 767 can fly transatlantic and ETOPS. In Australia like Japan it also does well in domestic short haul routes (up to 5 hours here in Oz! and JAL and ANA both operate it in Japan skies domestically so it is very versatile). The 757 is a lovely bird too and the 777 is probably my favourite for space wise and cockpit design (more advanced of the 757-767).PS. By the way the 767 has the best power to weight ratio of any bird I think. A ANA check captain told me this. If you do a short haul flight you will zoom up fast, but the landings on the 767 can be a bit tricky. The 777 is more forgiving.
January 2, 201115 yr PSS 757 for me. Ive managed to take out the VC and the frame rates are now great. Steve
January 2, 201115 yr 757:- Captain Sim: great modeling, but many people find the systems to be lacking. Things are (apparently) lacking, or simply wrong. The captain sim 757 is not bad. All the systems are modelled and also a very good weather radar. However they never resolved an annoying VOR issue, so its not perfect - it could have been though... Haven't tried them but have heard good things about the PSS and QualityWings models. I'm tempted to try out the PSS one myself.------------The Level D 767 is the best there is.The only really detailed 777 is the old one from PSS. Its pretty good - detailed systems and panel. If you want a better plane model you can merge it with the freeware one from POSKY, but that does mean sacrificing the VC.
January 2, 201115 yr PSS-POSKY 777 merge is a winner for me.The PSS panel and POSKY model are truley a good combo. So overall, the PSS 777 would be the best option for FS9, until PMDG 777 comes out, sadly though, only for fsx :(.
January 3, 201115 yr And oh yes, LDS recently released a comprehensive free update, adding winglet models and accompanying fdes to reflect the 4% fuel burn reduction, plus a configuration tool to manage the new wl models. The best just got better. Regards, Mark
January 3, 201115 yr For sound on the 757/767 i would recomend www.turbinesoundstudios.comNebojsaIf you buy the Level D 767-300 there is no need for a sound package!!!And what tempted me in the first place to go to payware was the Virtual Cockpit and the functionality it has as well as reproducing authentically the maker's systems. The CDU is a vital component which is not modeled in the standard FS2004 aircraft.

I got a freeware one from the avsim library, but the TSS ones sound pretty good too.
