So, if you can live with empty airports (no buildings except Innsbruck and several add-ons) and AI that never lands or take of, I think that X-plane is a very nice addition to FSX.
I can't, which is a main reason why I avoid XP. The majority of my flying is in rural communities, with light aircraft. I looked at a comparison between Duluth MN in FSX and XP stock. Wow, DLH was a desert in XP. That alone is enough to not fly it. I believe XP flight dynamics can be excellent but not in the stock planes. You have to buy payware to get a great one. Much like FSX...XP10 previews look pretty good - but I'm willing to bet you'll need some excellent CPU horsepower to run those AI cars with lights...
