I cannot engage either the hard mute or the soft mute. On the soft mute, I have tried different keys and saved them via the Voice Commander config and they do not work. The soft mute situation, I select the HM button on the main panel and the "M" flashes on the display, but the program still picks up what I say, cause I get the green bar on top. You specify on page21 o f the manuel to select this button for the hard mute but on page 22, you state to left click on "LK" button. I am asumming that is a mistake. I have your latest update and am running FSX on a Vista Home Premium 32 bit, and I have SP1 & 2 on FSX.Thanks,Gnacino

Hi Gnacino,For Soft Mute, try assigning it to the LEFT CONTROL keyboard button. It works for me.With Hard or Soft Mute enabled, you will still see words in the Green Bar.The difference is the virtual FO will not "act" on what the speech recognition "hears".It's like the FO can still hear, but his hands are tied behind his back.There's a technical reason with the speech recognition engine why it had to be done this way.Best,

Thanks Bryan.I did not know that about the hard mute. As for the soft mute, the left ctrl was one of the first ones that I tried. I have tried a few others, but no joy. It is a problem trying different keys cause you have to use the config and then you have to turn on FSX and then select LevelD and open the Voice Commander and by the time that all comes in to play, I could have raised a whole new family;)Thanks,Gnacino :(

Hmmmmm, are you using an more 'exotic' keyboard?
