PMDG GENERAL

Flight1 Mustang is by far the most "underdog" add-on out there. Amazing...I fly the real one and it is barley different. The Aerosoft CRJ 7/900 looks to be incredible as well, right on with PMDGC.Barnes ATP/CFI

Very many thanks for the response and on the strength of advice I have invested in a Level D 767 ER. The reason I have not (yet) purchased a PMDG MD11 or 747 is because I prefer to take off and land without the space of an hour: a policy that rather rules the very large jets out. I think if I were to simulate a transAtlantic crossing, staring at a computer screen for seven and a half hours, my wife would probably have me carted off. Unfortunately one of the weaknesses of the PMDG aircraft is that you don't seem to be able to 'move them forward' during a flight. A pity. Many thanks again,Jim.
Well if your needing to shorten the amount of flight time, I would recommend the Flight Sim Labs Concorde-X. It's a fantastic simulation that also reinforces some skills you tend to lose by flying nothing but glass cockpits with FMC's - like VOR intercepts, radials, etc. I love my PMDG 744 and MD-11, but the Concorde is a nice change of pace too. Even at subsonic speeds you about 100 mph faster then the Boeings and Airbuses, and you can cross the Atlantic in about 3.5 hours. You will need a good computer if you plan on using it in conjuction with other addons such as ASE and scenery. In the meantime we all wait for the NGX.Milton
