January 16, 201115 yr Dear PMDG-Team,I would like to buy the new NGX manuals. But the shipping costs to Europe are crazy !!!This is absolutely not acceptable. Is there no other solution ?Cheers,Peter
January 16, 201115 yr Peter,I fully agree. In December last I received only 1 manual which costs me us $ 29 shipping costs. Upon receipt in The Nteherlands I was charged an other US $ 24 by the Dutch postal service. The shipping costs therefor came higher then the cost for the manual alone. January 16, 201115 yr the problem is, that probably NGX wont come with full set of manuals.Lets no spread misinfo. The only manual that may or may not be included is the quick reference guide. Even if it is not included the whole knowledge contained in this manual will still be available - albeit perhaps not in such a 'quick reference' format. Michael J.
January 16, 201115 yr I wonder if isn't possible to search a secondary dealer in Europe, like the MD-11 manuals and Aerosoft some times ago...(now, nomore)But i think that carriers costs are the same for everyone...the fast shipping is something expansive for anybody and anything.I personally bought the manuals in December and choose the USPS option, but i don't recommand it to anyone outside US. It's not good at all. (but the fault was mine, choosing it; Fedex is very reliable and fast if you can afford the high price).Cheers, Paolo Fumagalli "Everyday is a new flight, with new system to learn, new failures to prevent and new database to update..."

At least, as long as You want to search 3500 of pages in case of "failure"
January 17, 201115 yr well, it's really not that hard to find a Boeing QRH in the EDITED anyway. And there's nothing illegal in it at all
January 17, 201115 yr Commercial Member Dario,Do not repost that link. Any documentation for the real life airplane is BY DEFINITION Boeing's property. We cannot allow links to such documents here. The solution is to wait for NGX release, and print them on your own, the problem is, that probably NGX wont come with full set of manuals. That is not what I said. There has been no decision yet on the inclusion of the QRH - it's not "probably" anything.===========The shipping costs are not something we can control - I'm sorry, but that's just how it is. Sending stuff overseas (especially large packages like these manual sets are) costs a lot of money. We obviously have absolutely no control over whatever taxes/duties/tariffs particular countries choose to place on these shipments either. January 17, 201115 yr If you're looking for a hard copy for non-normals, look up the Boeing 737 Management Reference Guide. I'm reasonably certain that you can purchase it from dealers in Europe, and it is a NNC review guide. It does reference the QRH, but it is more of a "do this and why" rather than the QRH which is simply a "do this". Joe Sherrill
January 18, 201115 yr That is not what I said. There has been no decision yet on the inclusion of the QRH - it's not "probably" anything.Yeah, I have exaggerated a little, sorry for that. I'll wait for release with further "complains" on this subject
January 19, 201115 yr I know PMDG has no control over the price of shipping, I was going to buy the QRH but the shipping to Canada is quite expensive and I don't understand. I recently shipped an RC Aircraft to Texas, it was a Canadair CL-215 waterbomber with an 86" wing, fibreglass fuse. It was in a massive box, total weight was around 17 lbs and it only cost me $42.68 and took 4 days to get to the guy. Is the QRH printed on lead sheets or something? its just a book yet the cost for shipping to my house is $36.15 ? that makes no sense to me at all.Corey Prefontaine
